Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Consortium

Conegliano Valdobbiadene is an area situated in the province of Treviso between Venice and the Dolomites. This area includes fifteen minicipalities: Conegliano, San Vendemiano, Colle Umberto, Vittorio Veneto, Tarzo, Cison di Valmarino, San Pietro di Feletto, Refrontolo, Susegana, Pieve di Soligo, Farra di Soligo, Follina, Miane, Vidor, Valdobbiadene and it is where Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG is produced.
In the Valdobbiadene area, we can talk about heroic viticulture because the steep hills can reach up to 70% of slopes and they do not allow mechanisation and work must be done by hand. As a matter of fact, it takes 800 hours of manual work per hectare compared to 150 hours in plain.
Conegliano Valdobbiadene is the beating heart of a much larger area which represents the world of Prosecco, a varied landscape of nature ad flavours which includes three denominations: Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Prosecco DOC.  Our goal is to tell you the story and the evolution of the people and of the wineries.
